Raising my son and other career paths took precedence in the last decade of the 2000s. Entering the domain of public art in 2021 renewed my passion for all forms of self expression, both personally and for the communities I create for.
Printmaking fascinates me, with its endless possibilities for producing organic forms and textures, and the suspense of pulling a print. Like unwrapping a present, I never know exactly what will be unveiled until the moment it pulls free of the plate.
Neurographic Art: these pieces are based on an art therapy technique developed by Russian psychologist Pavel Piskarev in 2014. It's a wonderful tool for mindfulness and overcoming artist's block.
