Dave McKean and Nick Bantok are two of my favourite illustrators and artists. They use collage beautifully. I use collaged objects to expand on mood and meaning, or to bring a piece of the nature which inspired them into a piece. Dreamboat on the top right started with a sculpture I created from an abandoned bird's nest. The resulting photocollage won runner up in a book cover contest, for an anthology titled 'A Paper Heart Is Beating; A Paper Ship Sets Sail".
